Michael J Sinosich, BSc AIMLS PhD FFScRCPA

Michael has dedicated his professional and academic career to improving management of  human conception and fetal – maternal wellbeing. As an academic, he initially established  endocrine support for first IVF-ET / ART center in NSW, Australia. Then, as part of advisory  group to NSW Department of Health, Michael headed the NSW Reference Laboratory for  Prenatal Screening, which expanded to combine first and second trimester screening. Michael  then transposed this screening program into the private sector, at Sonic Clinical Institute  (Sonic Healthcare). At Sonic Healthcare, Michael gained national accreditation for both serum  screening and molecular genetic testing, including, paternity testing, cystic fibrosis, fragile X,  HLA typing. More recently, Michael was instrumental in negotiating a referral service with (Verinata/) Illumina for cfDNA aneuploidy screening. 

Michael has 3 patents, published 100 peer reviewed papers and numerous abstracts. He has  supervised many post-graduate students and continues to enjoy regular invitations as international speaker, reviewer and advisor / consultant. His research and mentoring work  has been recognised with scientific awards, promotion to Clinical Associated Professor and,  more recently, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia 

(RCPA).
