Stephanie Bywater, CHC CHP CIA
Stephanie has worked in healthcare compliance since 2005. She has extensive experience developing and managing programs to ensure compliance with global, federal, and state laws and regulations in the healthcare and biotech industries. She is currently the Chief Compliance Officer for NeoGenomics Laboratories, where she oversees the organization’s global compliance and ethics program. Prior to joining NeoGenomics in 2017, Stephanie managed global compliance operations for Varian Medical System and was their Compliance Officer for the Americas Region from 2015 to 2017, with a focus on global anti-corruption and ethical compliance requirements. She previously served as the Compliance and Privacy Officer for Myriad Genetic Laboratories from 2010 to 2015, where she implemented and provided oversight for programs supporting compliance with the Anti-kickback Statute, Stark Law, the Food and Drug Administration, billing and reimbursement, research, and global data privacy and protection requirements. Stephanie also has a wealth of compliance experience in large health systems, behavioral health, and has served as an internal auditor. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Healthcare Professional (CHP), Certified in Healthcare Privacy (CHP), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
