While ELEVATEGENETICS services are fee-for-service, in most cases ELEVATEGENETICS services more than pay for themselves rapidly by improving the quality of precision medicine care for patients, and reducing fraud and abuse in the health care system.
With only one exception, ELEVATEGENETICS services may be paid for by laboratories, payors, laboratory benefit management companies (LBMs), health care systems, drug manufacturers, or other stakeholders. Generally, whomever commissions and pays for ELEVATEGENETICS assessments receives and keeps the results. Use and sharing of the results are contractually predefined before CGI's work begins.
Laboratories are welcome to commission and pay for their own ELEVATEGENETICS VALID, ELEVATEGENETICS BRILLIANT, and/or ELEVATEGENETICS LANDSCAPE evaluations from CGI. (Indeed, some payors or LBMs may request these results from the laboratory in contract negotiations). Typically, such assessments commissioned and paid for by a laboratory are accompanied by a non-disclosure agreement requiring that CGI not reveal that these assessments have been done, unless the laboratory instructs CGI otherwise. Thus laboratories who pay for their own assessments can undergo ELEVATEGENETICS assessments, and if they are proud of their results, they can use their ELEVATEGENETICS results in their negotiations with payors, and in their advertising with clinicians and patients. Laboratories that discover that they have problems that need fixing will hopefully fix their problems, and if they wish, may retake* an ELEVATEGENETICS assessment.
*ELEVATEGENETICS BRILLIANT proficiency challenges that are "retaken" by the same laboratory have different variant challenges.
