J. Phil Harrop, PhD FACHE MS MBA MHA
Dr. J. Phil Harrop serves as a member of CGI’s Board of Directors. He is a healthcare executive with nearly 25 years of experience ranging from academic medical centers to rural critical access hospitals. He currently works as System Chief Operating Officer of Ascension Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas. He has held multiple previous healthcare leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director and Director.
Phil earned a Bachelor of Science in business management—finance from Brigham Young University and four degrees from The Ohio State University: a Master of Health Administration, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in public health, and a PhD in health services management and policy. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has been elected and appointed to various leadership capacities within ACHE. He has served on numerous boards of directors throughout his career. Harrop has published articles on a variety of healthcare topics and has lectured on healthcare and leadership in several universities across the country.
